This guided tour will take you to know the first house built by Antoni Gaudí, a work that anticipates modernism in Catalonia and the fantastic Park Güell, both declared UNESCO heritage.

The Vicens House. It was built between 1883 and 1885 as a summer house projected by a young Gaudí of 31 years for Mr. Manuel Vicens i Montaner (1836-1895), exchange broker and stock exchange. It is the first Gaudí building in Barcelona and where he could display his great talent.

At the Casa Vicens, Gaudí recreated in a very personal way the figurative worlds in vogue at that time. The house is supported by the Catalan constructive traditions, of which the architect makes unexpected interpretations, at the same time that incorporates, also in a personal way, decorative and symbolic elements. All this already announces and demonstrates the creative freedom that will be present in all his future work.

Beyond being one of the starting points of Gaudí's work; at Casa Vicens, the architect creates an innovative and original work that differs from what had been previously built in Catalonia. The Casa Vicens is one of the first examples of the aesthetic renovation of art and architecture, which took place in Europe at the end of the 19th century. It is the eighth building in Barcelona cataloged as a World Heritage by UNESCO and the last to be opened to the public.

After the visit, the guide will accompany you to the bus that will take you to the meeting point of the next stage of our visit.

Park Güell. You will not find a park like this anywhere in the world! This architectural marvel, created by Antoni Gaudí in the midst of nature, was commissioned by Count Güell, who wanted him to design an elegant housing development. Now it is a park and belongs to the heritage of the city. Another wonder that awaits you in your visit to Barcelona.
During the visit, we will enter the Park Güell by the great staircase dominated by the dragon, decorated with mosaics of ceramic tiles, a Catalan style known as "trencadís", one of the most characteristic images of Barcelona. Originally written Park Güell (with English spelling), it is arranged around a large central square surrounded by a serpentine bank covered with "trencadís". Under the square, the ceiling is maintained by 86 Doric columns, like trees, with joints between them, and viaducts in inclined columns: the work of Gaudí unites nature and architecture.

The visit ends at Park Güell.
